LPAC theatre
Monday, 29th March 2010
The Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) is a relatively new, purpose built theatre. It is host to a wide range of dance, drama, classical music, and comedy.
It may be located on the University of Lincoln’s campus, however, it aims to appeal to all, and hosts many family friendly shows. It is also responsible for bringing many national and international stars to Lincoln.
To appeal to the family audience, the LPAC have designed a film programme, showing a selection of the British Film Institute’s of the top 50 films they recommend that everyone sees before you’re 14.
This contemporary building also upholds its modern vibe on the inside, with multi-coloured seating. It also hosts a café and bar and doubles as a conference venue.
As the building also serves purpose to performing arts students at the University, it also offers newspapers at a subsidized price. There is also nearby parking available.
Offering high standard performances from leading musicians, this venue remains humble in its prices, which start from just £3 per ticket. And in such technological times, LPAC can be found on Faecbook and Twitter.
Upcoming shows include Babel, Lakeside’s, Bombers Moon, The Caretaker and Cling to me like ivy.
