Lincolnista Wedding PhotoWith the sun and the blue skies beginning to emerge, people’s mind (mainly women’s) turn to Summer weddings; what to buy and more importantly where from?

Organising a wedding can be one of the most stressful and tiring things you’ll ever do.

It’s that time of year again when people are receiving wedding invitations through their letter boxes and the mad panic of trying to find the perfect present begins.

Before this has all happened however, there is a whole load of choices to be made about the dress, the accessories, the venue, the food, the flowers, the groom? But where do you begin? Where, in Lincoln, is it possible to find all these things? Lincolnista will tell you.

Bride-to-be, Gina Davies, began looking for the perfect bridal gown in Lincoln. “I did go to a wedding dress shop at Washingborough Hall. It was lovely and had fantastic staff. They even had a big block for you to stand on in front of a mirror.” It is said that when a bride puts on a wedding dress, she knows whether its ‘the one’ or not. Pretty Panache, one of Lincoln’s newest bridal stores has many years experience and understands the importance of providing each and every bride with a special, relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Their collections of beautiful gowns make it possible for a bride to feel amazing on her big day. Their accessories including tiaras, veils, jewellery and boleros make the whole experience perfectly easy especially when they also offer an alterations service.

So thats the dress sorted and hopefully the accessories too. Whats next?

On to the venue and flowers. Lincoln is surrounded by some amazing countryside that houses beautiful scenery and perfect venues for the big day. Stately homes and hotels such as Washingborough Hall, Branston Hall, Belton House and Charlotte House Hotel, as well as many others, offer some fabulous locations for civil ceremonies as well as all the help and services you’ll need such as marquess, discos and food.

As for flowers, Lincoln has an array of experienced and professional florists. Bluebells, Lillies Florist, Chambers Florist and Flowers by Suzanne are some of the florists who are specialists in creating immaculate displays to supplement your wedding.

For all of you who are looking fro that perfect wedding day gift, get yourselves to Debenhams, House of Fraser or any of the little gift shops such as Bay Tree Gifts on Burton Rd or Follie in the Bailgate who all stock unique and fantastic gifts to surprise the happy couple with.

Whatever the theme, whatever the budget, whatever you’re looking for, you’re sure to find exactly what you’re after in Lincoln and be confident in knowing that it is being dealt with confidently and professionally.

Enjoy the big day!
