One of the Best Boutiques in Britain!
Tuesday, 30th March 2010
Lincoln’s very own Agatha Boutique has been given the proud honour of being designated one of Britain’s Best Boutiques in 2010 by none other than Vogue Magazine.
“Proud is the only word to describe my feelings,” said Carl Jacklin the owner of Agatha boutique in Lincoln.
Featured in the iconic Vogue magazine, Agatha boutique has every right to be proud as it is one of ‘Britain’s Best Boutiques of 2010’. The leading fashion shop is one of the ‘best’ by selling superior brands (such as Vivienne Westwood) and providing 100 percent customer service, with even a seamstress in store.
“We are different from other boutiques, as we offer a wide product range by only stocking one item of each size. To make sure no one is wearing identical outfits to an event, we keep note on who has bought which dress and where they will be wearing it!” said Mr Jacklin.
Agatha’s is one of the top ten boutiques in Britain. It went through the process of Vogue’s tough judgement, by answering various questions and sending in photographs of the boutique, located on Lincoln’s high-street.
Mr Jacklin commented, “Vogue was very much like ‘Devil wears Prada’ whilst we were under investigation by them before being awarded the title. It will bring awareness of our boutique and the fashion scene in Lincoln to many different countries; being in such a globally renowned magazine.”
The quirky boutique has gained many International customers and new brands have approached them after spotting their award in Vogue magazine. Celebrities have also shopped in the store, such as Glenda Jackson the award winning actress and Anita Harris a famous theatre entertainer.
“Looking after customers is the main priority in our boutique. Traditional values such as a warm welcome is key, as well as honesty and an excellent knowledge of the brands we stock”.
Carl Jacklin describes his boutique as ‘individual but softer around the edges’ which is why his boutique has been successful for 14 years.
It will be featured in this April’s addition of Vogue.
