Saffron
Saffron is a contemporary Indian restaurant situated in Lincoln’s Bailgate area. Serving Indian cuisine, Saffron offers a variety of unusual dishes for people who want to eat outside the box.
For first-timers, Saffron’s staff are on hand to explain the menu, which includes appetisers, main meals (tiger prawn, chicken, lamb, or vegetable based dishes) and fresh breads. Modern decorations and a busy atmosphere surrounds diners at Saffron, and the restaurant has an established reputation which may be why reservations are required at weekends.
Saffron says that they are best known for their Tandoori roasted sea bass, braised lamb shank in Kashmiri chilli sauce and dupiaza reduced lamb stew.

The restaurant did not deliver much of an atmosphere but i thoroughly enjoyed the food. Chicken Shashlick starter was delicious as was my partners cumin flavoured rack of lamb. The second time was take away, unfortunately this is a different menu and i found the food bland which was a pity.
