Situated in a large and spacious warehouse, the club offers a range of equipment for all as well as a health shop and seating area within the gym itself. I.T systems are used to enable all members to join over the web, self swipe into the club, with no cash handling and membership tracking systems to monitor members required.

Well for £12 a month and no contract (although there usually is a joining fee which I absolutely hate paying as its just a secret way of reducing the monthly cost but still getting the money out of you) I wasn’t really expecting much but to be fair I was pleasantly surprised.
There’s a large range of cardio-vascular machines which mean that apart from the busiest of peak times there’s enough machines to not be waiting for long to use them. The resistance machines are plentiful and reasonably well maintained although I did have to go searching for missing pins to select the weight I wanted to lift. One of the most unused parts of the gym is a spinning studio that’s free to walk in and out of that has a virtual reality screen that sees you cycle through town and country routes with guidance on how hard you should be working. It’s a great idea but always completely empty when I’ve been in.
The changing rooms are spacious and clean and not really what I was expecting for a ‘cheap’ gym so certainly no complaints there. One of the best things about Fitspace is the hidden gem that is the Optimum Health shop which is owned by a man mountain of a chap called Peter or ‘Geordie’ as he is affectionately known. His knowledge on supplements and nutrition is simply staggering and if you want a quick protein shake to finish off your session or something more specific no matter what your goals then I can certainly recommend having a chat.
In summary, probably not the best gym in Lincoln with regards to size, equipment or service but it’s very very hard to not say its the best value gym in Lincoln and for that reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Review by cristianSubmitted on August 8th, 2011 at 11:03 pmFantastic value for money gym, excellent facilities. Unfortunatly no swimming pool but for the price. You cannot complain. Train with a personal trainer called John Astbury. He is absoloutly fantastic and my body has transformed tremendously in a relatively short amount of time.. John and the other friendly staff here get a definiate thumbs up from me
