Beauty Tip of the Week
Monday, 14th June 2010
A weekly updated guide to the latest trends, technologies and treatments in the beauty industry to keep you looking your best at all times.
Hot weather, cocktails and too much barbecue food can result in the dreaded break-out of…spots!
So how do we deal with these pesky little critters?
There are many spot treatments, spot preventers, spot coverers, cleansers, toners, moisturisers and masks that line the shelves in stores and it can become very confusing.
A few of my favourites to keep your skin looking its clearest and brightest are Lush’s Coalface soap (from £4.15). Soothing liquorice and charcoal (sounds a tad weird) absorbs excess oil from the skin and also acts as an exfoliator.
A good tip is also to use make-up that will help fight these break-outs when they happen. A good concealer such as Rimmel Hide the Blemish concealer (Boots, £4.29).
Remember to keep your skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water and if you’re prone to break-outs use make-up that is oil free to prevent pores clogging.
