A blog dedicated to my experiences of nightlife in the High Street.
CTRL ALT DEL has always been a weekly event that I have just scanned over. I’d get a facebook invitation - ‘come to SCY on Thursday’, and I’d just ignore it. “It doesn’t seem my type of thing” I’d say to myself, plus why would I bother going out somewhere on a Thursday when I’d been out the night before? In other words, I’d basically never been, or felt inclined to go in any way.
Until this week. I was at a friends cocktail party beforehand, and everyone there was saying how they were going to go out to SCY afterwards. And after a few cocktails, I found myself saying it too. (You know when you just have to go out and dance when you’ve had a few?) I was wearing my new shorts from Topshop too, so of course, I had to go out and show them off!
So off we went to SCY, I didn’t know what to expect, but I was kind of excited because it was something new. We went in and immediately went to the bar, as you do. I’d noticed a drinks offer on the way to the bar saying that Mega Jugs were a fiver, so naturally I went for that option. We ordered a Malibu and Lemonade jug, but we had it served in three glasses (which I think she poured either two or three shots in each) but I wasn’t complaining, it was cheap and I didn’t have to haul a jug around.
The dubstep remixes and beats were really good, I’d never really been to a place that played that type of music before and I loved it. The remixes were really cool, and the one remix I took away from the night was the Lion King’s Circle of Life, I was absolutely lovin’ it up on the dancefloor when that tune came on!
This is one place I must revisit again, it kept me dancing til the early hours of the morning and I came away feeling satisfied and happy that I’d finally got a taste of CTRL ALT DEL.
