Lincolnista Review

The Library Bar is known for its location and its events. Not a day in the week goes by when there isn’t an event or offer going on in the Library Bar.
Located just a few minutes from the University courts, it’s a popular destination for people on their way home from the town, or a destination for the night, especially on Mondays, which is the renowned karaoke night, with free Sourz shots for those with the nerve (or liquid courage) to sing in front of a packed venue.
The drinks are cheap here too, which means it’s another good destination if money is a bit of an issue. There are no specific nights where drinks are cheaper; they’re cheap every day of the week.
Of all the nights the Library Bar has to offer, Monday’s are the best. Who doesn’t love a karaoke night? Whether you plan to sing or not, you can enjoy watching people tackle the classics like Love Shack, Hakuna Matata (everyone’s feel good song) and tracks from Grease. The free shot is often incentive enough for people who have already had a couple of drinks. As the night goes on, the mood gets better, everyone is enjoying the entertainment, even the bar staff gets involved and belt out a couple of classic hits.
The beauty of this night is there are no restrictions on the number of people who sing. It’s not uncommon for the entire bar to get in on the songs, which creates an interesting sound, to say the least.
So if you want a place to wind down your night, or to carry it on till the early hours of the morning, the Library Bar is a good choice.
