Tap and Spile

A traditional pub, The Tap and Spile describe themselves as a’ real pub, unspoiled by progress’. With live music every Friday night and a jam session and General Knowledge quiz on a Sunday afternoon, there’s never a dull moment.

The pub also hosts a music quiz on the second Wednesday of every month. On offer is a range of between sex and eight constantly changing cask conditioned ales. You’ll also find that the ale comes from both local independant microbreweries, as well as bigger companies. The pub is run by an ale and live music enthusiast couple, who also host live music gigs every Friday evening.
And to cater for smokers, the Tap and Spile has a heated shelter in the beer garden.

I am so enamoured of the Tap and Spile that I actually miss it when I've not been for a while... The staff is lovely, the pub itself full of character and the music is always on - real blues, great jazz and every other quality genre in between. Can't recommend it highly enough. (And this from a woman who wouldn't eactly call herself a "pub-goer".) Muy bueno.
