Kind Bar
A modern and stylish bar located at the base of steep hill. It has live music and comedy nights. It offers a wide range of drinks, including cocktails.
Kind is a modern, intimate bar located at the top of the High Street, (but the bottom of Steep Hill).
It describes itself as “a Jekyll and Hyde bar, as during the day we are a chilled out drink spot but when the sun goes down we turn into your favourite place to come and drink, socialise and dance with great banter and a huge selection of drinky poos!!!!!”.
The extensive drinks list includes cocktails, bottles and spirits. It hosts various live music nights in the week, usually on Tuesdays. It is also occasionally the venue for comedy nights. The atmosphere is more casual in the day, but comes to life at night.

Kind is a great bar to start the night with. The music isn’t overbearing so it’s still possible to have a chat without shouting!
The selection of drinks should please everyone, and so should the prices! Having been on my first Thursday in a while, I was definitely pleased to see their new offer, where any drink is £2.
I love the layout of Kind too, because it’s easy to sit together in big groups, or tuck away somewhere if there’s only a few of you.
All in all, I think it’s a great place for people of all ages, whether you’re in the midst of a big night out, or just wanting a couple of drinks.
