Dogma
Dogma bar and kitchen doubles as a trendy restaurant and a classy cocktail bar in the centre of Lincoln.
During the day, Dogma offers a relaxed atmosphere with comfy sofas and a pool table. There is loads of food to choose from at a fairly reasonable price, ranging from steaks and loaded burgers, to soups and salads. Food is still served in the evening, however Dogma’s extensive cocktail list, mirrored dance floor, and modern music, transforms the venue into a lively and popular bar.
Cocktails aren’t cheap but are available in glasses and pitchers. Dogma also has a wide range of non alcoholic cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.

Lincolnista Review
Walking up the high-street on a cold winter’s day for a hot chocolate or dressed up to the dimes in your heels for a cosmopolitan cocktail. Dogma is suitable for both sides of you.
The wild side…
Modern and quirky Dogma is the place to go for a much-loved cocktail. Dressed up wobbling in my too high-heels, we went to the upstairs bar which is crammed with spirits I have never seen before!
We looked at the extensive menu for cocktails and we decided on a girley cosmopolitan cocktail each. Firstly the waiter cooled our glasses with ice and started to make magic (with alcohol of course). To finish it off the waiter put a slice of fruit and sugar round the rim, and for the party trick the straw stuck to our glasses, because it was so cold. Impressed I was! The cocktail tasted divine, and I felt ever so elegant holding a cocktail glass.
The music was modern and I felt comfortable in the modern seating area. I noticed a dance floor round the corner but it wasn’t open, which is disappointing as they must only open it whilst holding parties.
The chill out side…
It was just one of those day’s where I wanted to relax. Being out the night before, alcohol was not an option and I also may be frowned upon drinking a double vodka, lime and lemonade during the day. So I choose a hot choccy. The service was quick, and my hot chocolate was scrumptious.
I noticed a lovely beer garden outside, but it was too cold to venture out. The contemporary surroundings were outstandingly clean and I felt a great atmosphere during the day, as well as night.

Review by LucySubmitted on May 5th, 2010 at 10:43 amLast week I went into dogma and booked a table for my best friends birthday on 4th May. Upon arriving yesterday evening we were told that there was no table booked and that they had no idea about it...no apology nothing. The guy who served us was the one which we saw write down the booking and claimed to know nothing about it. They made no attempt to redeem themselves in any way. This morning I rang the manager to complain and although I managed to get an apology out of him that was it...At least they could have offered us a few free drinks vouchers or something. All 16 of us that had been booked for the table were regulars, having been in there 2 or 3 times a week since the beginning of the university year. I am utterly disappointed in the service we have received and will not be visiting in the near future. I have got the address and telephone number of the company that run dogma and will be contacting them in due course as frankly this is not good enough.
