Uncle Henry’s Farm Shop & Cafe
Sunday, 23rd October 2011
Uncle Henry’s is located out on the A15 past Hemswell Cliff. Just recently they announced a High Tea for 2 for £20, Lincolnista went to check it out . .
Uncle Henry’s have a simple but powerful philosophy, “Fresh, Local and Seasonal”. Steve and Meryl Ward are the fourth generation to farm at Waddingham Grange and have managed Grayingham Grange since 1991, Uncle Henry’s Cafe allows a true ‘from field to fork’ experience. Of particular note are the Gold Award winning Lincolnshire sausages produced from the large pig herd farmed on site.
Uncle Henry’s is based within a converted 19th century barn and boasts a fantastically well stocked farm shop including a butchery. As Tastes of Lincolnshire members they aim to stock as much local produce as possible but also carry sought after gifts by Gisela Graham (http://www.giselagraham.co.uk).
Launched just this month is the soon to be famous Uncle Henry’s High Tea for Two for £20. This afternoon delight consisting of a range of cakes and sandwiches (with no crusts of course!) along with the quintessentially british pot of tea with scones, jam and clotted cream! More than just a light snack this is a calorific treat perfect for a winter day.
So if you’re looking for a way to spend an afternoon at a weekend then Lincolnista highly recommend a trip to Uncle Henry’s. Either for some delicious treats and beautiful gifts from the shop or some hearty winter fayre from the cafe.
